Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit this website. It is a short document, because the site does very little with it.

Data collection

Automatically collected

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Date and time of visit
  • Pages visited
  • Referring website

Data you send directly

This website has no contact form and no newsletter. The only way to contact me from here is the email address below, so the only data I receive directly is whatever you choose to put in that email.

Legal basis (GDPR Article 6)

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): website security
  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): handling enquiries

Cookies and storage

This website sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no tracking and no advertising. The only thing stored in your browser is a single local-storage entry recording that you dismissed the notice at the bottom of the page.

Browser storage used

  • cookie-consent (local storage): remembers that you dismissed the storage notice. It is never sent to a server, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Third-party services

  • Hosting (Vercel Inc.): serves every page and keeps standard server logs.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: request information about your personal data
  • Right to rectification: correct inaccurate personal data
  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data
  • Right to restrict processing: limit how your data is used
  • Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured format
  • Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests

How to exercise them

Security

I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the little personal data this site handles.

Measures

  • Encrypted transport (HTTPS) on every page
  • Regular dependency and security updates
  • Data minimisation: nothing is collected that is not needed

Retention

Personal data is kept only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for, including legal, accounting and reporting requirements.

Breaches

If a data breach affects your personal information, you and the relevant authorities will be notified as required by law.
